Rescuers spend two days cleaning dog who solidified after falling into hot tar

A dog who fell in a pool of hot tar has had a lucky escape after being rescued - and painstakingly washed - by an animal charity in India.
The young canine's coat of tar was so thick and heavy that he was completely unable to move and stuck to the ground.

But staff from Rajasthan's Animal Aid Unlimited rescue centre said they worked for three hours over two days to massage the dog's fur clean using vegetable oil.

The dog's frightened eyes were the only part of his body he could move under the tar.

But with time, the workers' efforts began to clear the unnamed dog's fur.

And, thankfully for the dog, the video concludes with the freshly-washed pup happily wagging his tail as he's fed treats at the animal centre.
